More from the 2023 Orange County Auto Show

The 2023 Orange County Auto Show in Anaheim, California, displayed many of the best-selling models on the market from automakers around the world. While there were a ton of models on display at the showroom, we’ve taken the time to highlight the very best and most popular models of each display.

2023 Orange County Auto Show Highlights

From Jeep to Toyota, drivers got a chance to take a gander at the top models of 2024. Many of these models have been best-sellers for the past few years, while others are brand-spanking new. Let’s take a look!

Jeep

Jeep

Jeep made its presence known at the Orange County Auto Show with the most elaborate display of all, offering guests a test drive through an obstacle course. Giving consumers a handle on their vehicles’ off-road capabilities, guests waited for hours just to test drive one of their popular models from the Jeep Grand Cherokee to the Jeep Wrangler Rubicon.

Jeep Wrangler Rubicon

The Jeep Wrangler returns this year with a refreshed interior and exterior, including some brand-new features. The V6 engine was dropped this year in favor of a more fuel-efficient four-cylinder engine. However, the Wrangler is just as much of a gas-guzzler as it ever was – just a little less so. Nevertheless, that’s not really the point of driving one, and its customer base knows that.

Jeep Gladiator

The Jeep Gladiator also returns for 2024 as essentially a pickup truck version of the Wrangler. It offers similar driving capabilities and off-road performance but with a convenient truck bed. Like the Wrangler, it also comes in a Rubicon version that makes it better equipped for rough terrain.

Jeep Full-Size SUVs

Jeep Grand Cherokee

The 2024 Jeep Grand Cherokee will undoubtedly be a huge hit in the new year as one of Jeep’s top-selling models. The full-size three-row SUV offers seating for up to seven passengers. The versatility and luxury offered by this model make it a solid choice for larger families. And unlike the Wrangler, you can get this one with a V6 engine, which is included with the base model.

Jeep Grand Wagoneer

The Jeep Grand Wagoneer is one of their newest models, and it’s essentially a mix of a station wagon and a full-size SUV. Having debuted in 2022, it remains mostly unchanged from the previous model years. That being said, there is talk of removing the V8 engine as an option, which isn’t the most fuel-friendly choice anyway.

Hyundai

Hyundai Tucson

The 2024 Hyundai Tucson is sure to be one of the best SUVs on the market, especially when it comes to the hybrid and electric market. The vehicle comes packed with driver assistance features and boasts a fantastic fuel economy – along with terrific performance. It wasn’t enough to turn heads at this auto show, but consumers will surely turn to this compact SUV when they are looking for a practical and affordable SUV.

RAM

RAM XRT

The RAM is another one of the most popular trucks on the market, and this RAM TRX was looking pretty sharp at the Orange County Auto Show. This beast of a pickup features a 6.2-liter engine that generates a whopping 702 horsepower and 650 lb-ft of torque. It can go from 0 to 60 mph in just 4.5 seconds!

Kia

The Kia Soul GT-Line doesn’t look like much, but this model offers unique style and practicality that make it an increasingly popular choice for drivers in need of the perfect commuter. Getting around 30 mpg combined, you can do wrong with this crossover available for under $20,000.

Kia Seltos

The 2024 Kia Seltos is more attractive SUV that starts at around $24K. It offers a similar fuel economy and horsepower with its base engine. However, it’s roomier and comes with more features than the Soul as well.

Kia Carnival

With its stylish design and power-operated sliding doors, the Kia Carnival proves to be one of the best minivans on the market. While there are not many changes over the 2023 model, the 2024 model comes packed with features and boasts an upscale interior that should impress new drivers.

Kia Sportage

The Kia Sportage was just redesigned last year, so as you’d expect, there aren’t many changes for the 2024 model. The X-Pro, shown here, is the second from the top in terms of trim offerings, and it certainly gives you a lot of bang for your buck.

Toyota

Toyota Sienna

The Toyota Sienna is easily one of the top minivans on the market, so of course, it appeared at their display at the Orange County Auto Show. As you can see, it has a simple exterior design but impresses on the inside with a luxurious interior and plenty of driver assistance features. On the downside, it’s a tad pricier than the Kia Carnival.

Toyota Rav4

The recent popularity of the RAV4 made its return for 2024 a near certainty. With its terrific fuel economy, great performance, roomy interior, and a slew of standard features, it’s not hard to understand why drivers have fallen in love with this compact SUV.

Toyota Corolla

The Toyota Corolla has already been a solid choice for drivers in need of a practical compact car, and the hybrid version takes that even further with a terrific fuel economy rating. On top of that, it offers a long list of standard features, including an intuitive infotainment system.

Honda

Honda CRV

One of Honda’s most popular SUVs, the Honda CR-V, showed up all in black. Looking sleek and smooth with its 2024 design,  the CR-V will certainly be a solid choice for families next year. It checks nearly all the boxes of the ideal family car.

Honda Civic

The consistently popular Honda Civic balances practicality and performance, delivering to consumers a commuter vehicle that’s fun to drive. For more information about the Honda Civic and the trims available for 2024, check out our guide here.

2024 Honda Accord

The 2024 Honda Accord is basically the mid-size version of the Civic. Not as cramped as the Civic, the Accord offers more legroom, making it a more suitable family car. You’ll get most of the features offered by the Civic but even better performance – at the sacrifice of fuel economy, albeit marginally.

Prologue

And then there was the Honda Prologue. Honda’s first all-electric SUV,  the all-new Honda Prologue arrives in early 2024. Honda claims it can handle your daily commutes and weekend drives alike.  With its fast charging capability, it can provide up to 65 miles of range with just 10 minutes of charging time. Its dual motors provide 288 horsepower. Overall- it should prove a worthy rival against Tesla.

While the Orange County Auto Show certainly had an abundance of excellent cars to show off, it was only a taste of what is to come in 2024. You can look forward to more information on all your favorite makes and models in our trim comparison guides as they become available.
