The 2022 Chevrolet Bolt EUV’s Interior Takes Shape, Improves On Bolt’s

Capitalizing on America’s crossover and SUV fanaticism, Chevrolet will start building a taller, more SUV-like version of the Bolt electric hatchback next year dubbed the EUV. Ahead of the 2022 Chevrolet Bolt EUV’s debut, a new teaser video gives us a glimpse of the new Bolt variant’s interior.

As seen in the video below, the EUV’s power flow graphic in the central display provides information on regenerative braking use and the battery’s charge level. It is very similar to the graphic you’ll find on other hybrids and EVs. Much more interesting, however, is the sleek layout of the new touchscreen itself. Look closely, and you’ll also notice the climate controls have changed compared to those of the current Bolt. They’re smaller and nestled neatly in a few rows below the touchscreen.

Don’t expect the SUV to suffer from the same plasticky interior as today’s Bolt, either. Along with the new infotainment system, Chevrolet promises to upgrade the cabin with improved dashboard materials and nicer seats. A push-button gear selector will replace the traditional gear stalk, likely freeing up space on the center console for additional cup holders or storage. Like the current Bolt, the Bolt SUV will feature a fully digital instrument cluster. And the one thing we’re particularly excited about? The Bolt SUV will receive General Motors’ Super Cruise, a smart cruise control system until recently exclusive to Cadillac that allows drivers to take their hands off the wheel on the highway.
