New upcoming Toyota Hilux dedicated to off-road storming

A new Toyota Hilux dedicated to off-roading will be presented, specifically competing with the Ford Ranger Raptor pickup, the high-performance version of the American Ranger.

The success of the Ranger Raptor prompted other automakers to launch new competing models, and Toyota did not go that far when it introduced the Hilux GR Sport in collaboration with Gazoo, which appeared in August of the year 2020.

But Toyota’s division in Australia is already working on an “Apex” model of an upcoming new Toyota Hilux that features plenty of modifications focused on off-road forays.

More specifically, Toyota Australia said: “In another upgrade to the Hilux range, Toyota plans to launch a new version of the Apex off-road model, to replace the Rugged X Hilux, and details, including launch timing, will be announced in due course.”

For the sake of knowledge, the Rugged X is a special version for the Australian market that appeared in 2018, with unique features implemented by Toyota Australia in the Australian city of Melbourne, and it received an updated Facelift version in the year 2020. We attach pictures to you within this news with the Hilux version Tonka test, which appeared in the year 2017.

According to car experts, sales of the Rogue and Rugged X Hilux models have topped 17,000 since their introduction in 2018, and that’s a great case for the new Apex which should have higher off-road capabilities.

Most of us would like to see a production version of the Hilux Tunica concept, which is distinguished by its yellow and black color, although it has modifications that are difficult to provide on a production version.

The new Hilux Apex is expected to get a steel bumper with guard rails with a trim place, a water-walking tube, integrated LED lighting, extras from plastic fenders, rock sliders, stronger tires, and possibly a heavy-duty suspension, in terms of powertrain likely That the pickup uses an improved version of the current 2.8-liter turbo diesel engine, which currently produces 201 hp (204 hp PS).

As soon as other official information is available about the upcoming new Toyota Hilux off-road vehicle, we will introduce it to you.
