Paris Motor Show: BMW’s Neue Klasse Vision Vehicles Feature Minimalist Design and Next-Gen iDrive

BMW Group has presented its Vision Neue Klasse vehicles at the Mondial de l’Auto Paris 2024, showcasing the company’s future direction in electric mobility. The concept vehicles, set for production in 2025, represent BMW’s latest advancements in design and technology for its electric vehicle lineup.

The exhibition features two Neue Klasse Vision Vehicles: the BMW Vision Neue Klasse, a sporty electric sedan for the premium mid-range, and the BMW Vision Neue Klasse X, a Sports Activity Vehicle. These models offer a preview of BMW’s upcoming vehicle portfolio.

Adrian van Hooydonk, head of BMW Group Design, stated, “With the two vision cars for Neue Klasse we are showing how we are going to change the look & feel of the BMW brand. Many aspects of our cars will be completely new and yet we believe that the Neue Klasse will reflect the very essence of the BMW brand.”

The Neue Klasse vehicles feature a minimalist design language both externally and internally. Inside, they showcase the next generation of BMW iDrive, aiming to enhance driver-vehicle interaction.

Notable technological elements include:

  • BMW Panoramic Vision
  • 3D Head-Up Display
  • Central Display
  • New multifunction steering wheel

These features are designed to improve driver orientation and overall experience.

Jochen Goller, member of the Board of Management of BMW AG, highlighted the company’s success in the electric vehicle market, stating, “Thanks to our attractive BEV product portfolio, we are able to grow our all-electric sales even in a demanding market environment. In the European market, we were even able to gain market share with the BMW brand.”

The Mondial de l’Auto Paris 2024 runs from October 14 to October 20, with BMW’s exhibition spanning 1,300 square meters. The booth also includes presentations on new digital services and BMW Motorrad electric two-wheelers for urban areas.
