Limited-Edition Lexus RC F Will Bear Fuji Speedway Name
There’s no doubt the Lexus RC F is one of the better-performing luxury sports cars out there. Now the brand is cooking up a special edition for just 60 buyers.
Dubbed the Fuji Speedway Edition, this car will boast 472 horsepower and 395 lb-feet of torque from its 5.0-liter naturally-aspirated V8.
Lexus is claiming a 0-60 spring of 3.96 seconds and the Fuji Speedway nomenclature is a homage to the track in Japan where Lexus has done development work.
It’s not just about power with this car. Weight is an enemy of performance, and Lexus, understanding this, has festooned the car with a titanium exhaust, carbon fiber, and Brembo carbon-ceramic brakes.
Should you be lucky enough to snag one, you’ll get a free limited-edition watch with the car. You’ll also have just two exterior color choices – gray or a semi-matte white that Lexus claims is automatic car-wash safe. Either way, you’ll get red leather seats with Alcantara accents and carbon-fiber trim.
New across the board for all RC F trims is standard blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert, heated exterior mirrors, and a memory driver’s seat, although the memory seat won’t be available on the Fuji. There are minor interior tweaks, and Android Auto joins Apple CarPlay, Amazon Alexa, and in-car Wi-Fi as standard tech. Finally, Lexus’ Intuitive Park Assist is added to the optional Premium Package.
If you have the means, speak now or forever drive …. a non-Fuji RC F.
