The National Institute for Automotive Service Excellence, or ASE, will host a free webinar at 4 p.m. Eastern Time on Oct. 29 on “Vehicle Fluids – Lubricant & Filtration Technology Update.”

The webinar is designed to provide technicians with a better understanding of modern-day lubricants and filtration technologies. Oil is an engineered part of the engine design. Peter Orlando with the Carquest Technology Institute will discuss advanced gasoline engine technologies that rely on proper original-equipment oil formulations to work properly, and explain the importance of using the correct oil and filter media for an engine.

The webinar will also cover:

  • Laboratory analysis of engine oils
  • What occurs to the oil in its useful life
  • Why oil is an engineered part of engine design

Participants in the live webinar will receive a certificate of attendance within a week by email.

After registering, a confirmation email will be sent with information about joining the webinar. Those who are unsure if they can attend are encouraged to register, as they will receive a follow-up email with details on how to attend a recorded session, if available. Access to recorded sessions is reserved for those who register for the live event.
