Refreshed 2024 Cadillac XT4 arrives with new dash, fresh tech

Cadillac refreshed the 2024 XT4 small crossover with new exterior lighting and its latest infotainment system that mirrors the design language put forth by the Cadillac Lyriq. Expect sales to commence this summer and pricing to be announced in late March, Cadillac said on Monday.

The entry-level Cadillac and the smallest crossover in the brand’s growing electric lineup will still be powered by a 235-hp 2.0-liter turbo-4 with a 9-speed automatic transmission. Yet the gas-powered crossover takes on some traits of the 2023 Cadillac Lyriq electric crossover inside and out.

The LED headlights stack vertically again, but are bordered by vertical DRL strips. Together they flank the broad crest-shaped grille. The 2024 XT4 will be offered in Luxury, Premium Luxury, and Sport trims, with different grille elements and dark trim options available on certain trims.

More significant changes arrive inside. The base model features plenty of black gloss plastic, but Premium Luxury has wood or aluminum trim, while Sport grades add carbon fiber. Brushed aluminum frames the horizontal sweep of the dash, and Cadillac ditches the 8.0-inch touchscreen of the 2023 XT4 in place of a 33.0-inch curved glass display. The LED display boasts a 9K resolution, same as in the Cadillac Lyriq, and it houses the brand’s latest infotainment system that runs built-in Google Assistant and Google Maps, among many Google services. Knobs and buttons remain for climate control.
