2023 Nissan Altima: A Trim Comparison

The Nissan Altima is a solid mid-size sedan that offers comfort, without the expense of a luxury car. It’s similar to the Maxima, but a little smaller, and not quite as posh. This year the Altima comes updated with some exterior styling changes and additional safety features.

The Altima has a distinctly upscale vibe that makes it stand out on its own, especially since its 2019 redesign. The 2023 takes everything up a notch with a refreshed exterior and new features. The hardest part of buying the awesome new Nissan Altima is choosing between the five different options.

S

The 2023 Nissan Altima S has a starting MSRP of $25,290. It’s equipped with a 188-horsepower 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine and front-wheel-drive powertrain. Its fuel economy ratings are 27 mpg in the city and 39 mpg on the highway. It also comes with Bluetooth capabilities, Siri Eyes Free, intelligent auto headlights, and Nissan Intelligent Key for quick and easy access to your vehicle. The Altima S also has cruise control, which is essential for long drives.

Cabin features that the driver will appreciate include a 7-inch touchscreen display with Nissan Connect and an 8-way power adjustable driver’s seat. Safety features include intelligent forward and reverse collision warning, lane departure warning, driver drowsiness monitoring and automatic emergency braking. On top of this, you’ll get blind spot monitoring, rear cross traffic alert and rear parking sensors.

SV

The 2023 Nissan Altima SV starts at $26,090 for a FWD powertrain. The engine is the same as the Altima S. On the exterior, the Altima SR upgrades the wheel size to 17-inch aluminum-alloy from 16 inches. For an additional $1,500, you can upgrade to all-wheel-drive. Proximity keyless entry is standard with this trim.

2023 ALTIMA

Inside, you’ll get a power-adjustable driver’s seat and an improved infotainment system. The SV upgrades the infotainment system to an 8-inch display model with Android Auto and Apple Carplay. You’ll also get three more USB ports and satellite radio.

SR

The 2023 Nissan Altima SR starts at $27,490 for a front-wheel-drive powertrain. Wheels on this trim are upgraded to 19-inch ones and there are also standard paddle shifters and sports-tuned suspension. In terms of styling, you’ll notice some sharp-looking dark exterior accents.

SL

The 2023 Nissan Altima SL starts at $31,990 and feels much more luxurious than the previous model for a number of reasons. Instead of cloth upholstery, you’ll get soft leather with front seats that are heated and power-adjustable. Dual-zone climate control and a moonroof are standard in this model as well.

The inside has a few other upgrades that make the Altima SL worth the cost, including a 12.3-inch touch screen, adaptive cruise control and navigation. Apple CarPlay is wireless with this trim and tyou’ll get wireless charging too. Other upgrades include a nine-speaker stereo and built-in Wi-Fi. Best of all, you’ll get safety features like adaptive cruise control, a surround-view parking camera, lane keeping assist and traffic sign recognition.

2023 Nissan altima

Platinum

At a starting MSRP of $34,150, buyers can opt for the 2022 Nissan Altima Platinum. It includes the same engine as the other Altima trims, but the drivetrain is upgraded to standard all-wheel-drive. A couple of upgrades that the Altima Platinum includes are driver’s memory seat and 360-degree parking camera system. This provides a virtual 360° bird’s-eye view of the car so that drivers can maneuver into and out of parking spaces with ease. Interior accent lighting is also standard on this trim level.
