2023 Chevrolet Camaro: A Trim Comparison

Camaros have gutsy engines that make them fun to drive. The 2019 model was fully redesigned to be even more so and the 2023 model offers some new surprises!

Choosing a Camaro Trim

With a variety of engines, it can be hard to choose between them, but we’re breaking down each trim to find out what Chevrolet gave us this year. Each of these options is available as a coupe or convertible, but we’re listing the pricing of the coupe for this article’s purposes.

1LS

The 2023 Chevrolet Camaro 1LS is the base trim and starts at $26,400. This muscle car uses a 2.0-Liter Turbo SIDI engine that’s capable of 275 horsepower and 295 pound-foot of torque. Those who want more power can pay more to upgrade to the 3.6-liter V6 DI engine that gets 335 hp and 284 lb-ft of torque. Buying the Chevrolet Camaro also includes two-year scheduled maintenance on your vehicle.

Even though this is the base trim, it has a six-speaker entertainment system that includes SiriusXM Satellite Radio. Like most Chevrolets, the Camaro also comes with Chevrolet MyLink, which includes a seven-inch color touch screen, Bluetooth streaming audio, Apple CarPlay, and Android Auto. The 1LS trim even has voice-activated technology, so you never have to take your hands off the wheel.

LT

The Camaro LT trim starts at $26,900 for the coupe or $32,900 for the convertible. It has one major improvement from the 1LS trim: a better transmission. It uses an eight-speed paddle shift automatic transmission to offer smooth control with quick, precise shifts. This transmission further has remote start, which comes in handy on cold days. Other than this change, there are no differences between the 1LS and the 1LT.

2LT

The 2LT resembles the 1LS because it comes with the same engine but retains the standard manual transmission of the 1LS. However, the 2LT is designed for those who love entertainment to accompany their powerful vehicle. Rather than the standard six-speaker entertainment system, the 2LT is equipped with a Bose premium nine-system sound system. The 2LT trim furthers its upgrades by adding a Dual-zone automatic climate control, a rearview auto-dimming mirror, and heated driver and front passenger seats. The 2023 Chevrolet Camaro 2LT has a starting MSRP $28,900.

3LT

The Chevrolet Camaro 3LT trim, at a starting MSRP of $32,900 returns for the 2023 model year. The 3LT features an 8-inch HD color touchscreen display with a Chevrolet Infotainment Premium system and navigation. The interior also sports an audio system with 9 Bose premium speakers and a frameless, auto-dimming rearview mirror. Blind-spot monitoring, forward collision warning, rear cross-traffic alert and parking sensors are standard.

LT1

The LT1 trim starts at $36,400. This trim includes a 6.2-liter V8 that generates a whopping 455 horsepower and 455 lb-ft of torque. Brembo brakes and all of the features included in the 1LT model are included with this one.

1SS

The 2023 Chevrolet Camaro 1SS looks more rugged to accompany the powerful engine under its hood. The price of the 1SS jumps to $39,900. That’s because it has a 6.2-liter V8 DI engine that’s capable of a whopping 455 horsepower and 455 lb-ft of torque. Other mechanical changes include the addition of a limited-slip rear differential, rear differential cooler, and rear axle with a 3.73 ratio. The cooling system for the 1SS includes an extra-capacity cooling system, auxiliary engine coolant, and external engine cooler.

The only drawback is that the entertainment system doesn’t include the Bose premium sound system. The 1SS includes the six-speaker system, but who needs music when you can just listen to the purr of your engine?

2SS

If the luxurious features of the 2LT spike your interest but the 1SS motor is more your style, then the 2SS is for you. This trim comes with the powerful 6.2-liter engine and includes the upgraded audio system. It gives the 2SS heated and ventilated front seating, heating steering wheel, head-up display, and wireless charging. You can get all of these great features for a starting MSRP of $44,900.

ZL1

Are you still looking for more power? The ZL1 is for you. It starts at $67,300 and is the complete package. This trim has an insanely powerful 6.2-liter supercharged V8 DI engine that has 650 horsepower and 650 lb-ft of torque. To help you stay in control, the ZL1 has Magnetic Ride Control. This feature monitors each wheel independently during your drive and adjusts vertical suspension every millisecond to maintain smoothness.

On the inside, the 2023 Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 also comes with all of the luxurious features found in the 2SS, including heated and ventilated seating, a Bose premium audio system, and more. However, one standout is the inclusion of RECARO performance front bucket seats that feature a design specifically for high g-cornering. The steering wheel is covered in suede microfiber and features a flat bottom to increase legroom.
